The Best Weather for {almost} the Last Day of the Year

We went to the Wilderness Park a week ago and the weather was perfect.

Harrison is fearless sometimes - much to my dismay. Keeping up with him can be a challenge and I try not to envision him going head-first into the duck pond,

or falling off a log he's walking across...

or flipping off a branch he's climbing up (he did - but he got back up.)

Luckily there are other things he enjoyed doing, like collecting sticks and stones. This pile was left behind...

...in the quest to climb higher.

But I still came home with pockets full of sticks.

And he found friends to play with and build a fort together.

For a moment you would think that we were in the forest.

It was the best way to end 2008.

BTW, the first one is really my best shot. It was such a great day, I couldn't stick to one.

i love his expressions. it's like he knows exactly how far to push you in his adventures...and knows you're right behind in case he takes a tumble. what a great series!

I think the first shot is the best, but I also love the shot of his feet walking on the branch. Looks like so much fun. I wish we had something like that here!

The park looks like it was lots of fun, and full of adventure. Also looks like you're weather is not quite as nippy as ours is right now. ;) I love that hat. He takes the best pictures.

*sigh* Can M and I just move in with you? You live in such a wonderful place. And M could just gobble up that adorable little man you've got hanging around. He's TOO cute!

I just can't get over the hat and glasses. He looks like such and interesting little guy. I like all you photo, but my favorite is the one of him on the rock with the duck.
