When the mom is sick.
Hacky-sack-light saber baseball of course.
Don't yours?
Oops, missed.
Duh!
A little coaching to help...
And when you're tired of using the light saber...
Hand to hand combat always works.
Fun, Fun.

Wordless Wednesday
A quick rest on my lap (the little boy still in him).
Then back to the game (the big-boy emerging once again).
He begins to move away; but I will always be here for him.
More Wordless Wednesday here.

Let's Just Sum it Up
Once he looked like this
Now he looks like this.
And he loves this.
The day after his birthday, we hopped in the car for another round on the "Queen Ferry".
His words, "Mom. I yohve the Queen Ferry"
Beside the engine room, why does he love the Queen Mary?
This is why...
Camera in hand and letting him play, I ran out of ideas in the bright sunlight and found myself taking pictures of this...
Yeah, the guy that came up and stood over my laughed too. Then we discussed the little green bud stretching up to the sun [I didn't notice it in the bright sunlight at first] and the circular patches in the wood - how the small circle in the plank is how holes once were repaired and that the large circles are the cost-effective way they are repaired today. Funny what you will talk about with strangers.
We also attended a Birthday party on Sunday which was tons of fun!
From building to...
Painting, to...
Digging, to..
Biking...
There's no denying that they had a blast! See that slope behind him, he decided to ride down it on his new bike. Two things about that, he had only been riding this bike for an hour and the little hill is a bit steeper than it looks right there.
He is a boy after all.
That is also Harrison's new bike. He loves it.

If you're Jewish, you know Purim was on Tuesday, which was unfortunate for us because Harrison doesn't attend school on Tuesdays. He has been talking about making a costume and dressing up for WEEKS now. He sings all the songs he's learned and he tells everyone the story of Esther. So it was a no-brainer that I finish his crown and mask and take him to the Purim parade at school before we headed off to soccer.
Only there was one problem...
The Purim parade began at 9:30am - He slept until 10:00 am.
He NEVER sleeps that late.
I couldn't even wake him.
But not all was lost, he proudly wore his Purim costume to school on Wednesday.
Of course, as things go around here, we were getting ready to leave when he announced, "Mommy, you didn't make Hamantashen!" [Funny, I didn't know this was a requirement until that moment - sigh.]
At school his teacher saved the day with a bag of Hamantashen for him and the Cantor had a little mini parade one more time for him and his class .
How awesome is that?

FOUR!
He woke up at 6:30am on his birthday announcing, "It's time for my birthday party at Disneyland now!"
Then he crawled into bed with us and asked, "Am I four now?"
It poured almost the entire time.
Until we were about to leave that is...
But he still had a great time.
A couple of friends joined us too.
Yeah okay, Woody and his girl.
And these two as well...
We had breakfast and lunch there, rode a few rides, jumped in a few puddles, ate over-priced birthday cake and finished the day with a bucket of popcorn.
I think he was quite satisfied with his day.
Thanks Disneyland!!
And thanks everyone for the well wishes!
Now go wish Brittany a happy birthday and tell her I sent you!
Then he crawled into bed with us and asked, "Am I four now?"
"Yes."And with that we were up and off to Disneyland.
"Let's go to Disneyland for my birthday party and get a Star Wars Shuttle. Am I a big boy now? I am four?... I love being four and I going to High School now!"
"Okay, let's wait on High School for a little bit..."
It poured almost the entire time.

Wordless Wednesday - he lives in the city
Can you tell?
Speaking of traffic, we're off to Disneyland to celebrate his birthday.
The big number four.
Excuse me while I pick myself up off the ground.

Who's that boy?
Notice anything below?
How about a little closer?
Yup! I got his hair cut last Thursday for his very first school picture day on Friday.
So he [not so willingly] let me snap off some pictures for you to see.
(Too bad they aren't very good pictures - but they tickle me.) I asked him to tell me his favorite part of Star Wars - he dove into an entire synopsis.
Who is this little boy? And what did he do with Harrison?
Seriously, I like the short hair.

And my best shot for today (albeit the depth of field is too shallow)...
