A whirlwind weekend filled with a military parade and exhibit and a trip to the annual bug fair at the Natural History Museum.
Yes, those are his hands....
Yes. That is a live tarantula.
And no, he did not bring one home to live with us. [Yet.]
If you squirm at this, wait until you see what he had for a snack...
Happy Monday!

Tarantulas are so cool. We have them here around the house. He's brave to hold it though. I can imagine the feet tickling his hands. Yuck.
Eeek. He's braver than me. Just seeing it gives me the heebie-jeebies.
Ohhhhhhhhh, the faith and trust of a child!?1
is it only a matter of time till one turns up at your house? :)
Oh my goodness. He is one brave little boy. I just don't think I could do it.
ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Freaking out here.... very arachnophobic : O
But, as long as *I* don't have to touch it.... cool for him
Creepy, but in a cool way: Brave kid!
That's So cool! I love that he held it, what a brave boy. I don't know if I would willing hold a Tarantula, spider are not one of my favorite "bugs".
Crazy that he is holding it! We had a pet Tarantula when I was growing up. My brother got it from his science class. It was supposed to be just for the summer and we ended up having it for years.
I still cant believe he's holding it. I didnt mind having one, but I never wanted to touch ours!
Brave boy...all boy. Cool shots.
I draw the line at big spiders. Why, I don't know as we have two pet rats.
So what was snack?
OH. MY. GOSH. My boys will never have the pleasure of one of those in my house! I'm sweating just at the thought!!!!
Can't. Even. Look. at this photo without getting the creepy crawlies. Ewww...
