I have a boy. I love artistic photography. The two don't always mesh, especially with my never ending, energizer-bunny channeling boy. He doesn't often want to stop and be a model - even when playing on his own; he has eagle ears, he hears the camera lens extend as it's turned on and he runs in the opposite direction. Literally.
Once in a while, though, I get lucky enough to get a shot like this.
(all he needed was his newsboy cap.)

Well that couldn't be truer that boy + artist photos don't match! But this is a darn good one for that mismatch!
very very nice!! so glad he sat still for a minute! :)
Yep, you got lukcy with this one! Or rather, lukc mixed with your natural talent to create a fabulous image! It really does look like a classis painting, especially with the bowl of fruit there. But are those pumpkins, in May??
That could be a Norman Rockwell scene - very artistic.
great job! Nice texture too.
Oh my gosh -- I LOVE that picture and the texture is absolutely perfect! Great job!
This may be my favorite photo of yours...ever! It is incredible.
I love this too... it's timeless.
Love it! I agree with Susie - it's timeless.
I have 2 girls and it's not that easy to get them to be still for more than a few seconds. I can only imagine how impossible it is with a boy!
I can so relate! I have 2 girls and it has only been recently that my oldest will "allow" herself to be posed and photographed. My youngest daughter is a whirlwind and so hard to capture! I wonder just how much harder my baby boy will be!! LOL
Great photo, though!! It is precious!
I love this photo - very cool effects! He looks like he's ready to jump out of that chair any minute though! HA!
Ohhhh I love this!! :) He's so cute!
Oh, beautiful shot! You did some excellent work on this one -- just lovely (and your subject is just plain adorable!)
Thanks for stopping by my place for BSM! :)
very nice -- with two boys here, bribery is the only way to go for photoshoots :). love the effect you created.
I love the way that this looks - very vintage indeed! And you get bonus points for the fact that this includes a boy toddler...that certainly isn't an easy feat!
I love the vintage look. My boy is the same way. He never stops.
That is WONderful!
sitting still? what's that!? this is great:-)
Wow, you even got eye contact, too! Great job on the processing. I agree he needs a newsboy cap, but really why push it?? He might have moved. ;)
