Finally.
Yes Finally, we fully enforced the practice of no TV or video games during the weekdays.
Not that it was ever a babysitter or we were lazy. Nooo – not us!
I can say that our house is more peaceful and the boy is always busy with something.
One day was three hours of picture drawing and narrating that truly were story boards.
With him, a picture really is worth a thousand words.
He just can’t spell all of them yet.
Then there are the days when he becomes a creative force to be reckoned with!
Or a creative force to be thrown into the tub for a good scrub down…

Looks like fun! I'm afraid I don't think we could give up TV on weekdays at our house :)
It truly is easier than most people think. Way to go, Harrison.
Melody is correct, it is easier then you would think. Now that Harrison is in school for the full day, by the time he gets home he has a full routine that he goes through including his playtime and homework.
Last year during Kindergarten, the TV was probably on more than it should have been because he was home by 11:30 and we both have home-based businesses. We needed the distraction for him sometimes.
BUT he does watch part of Survivor with us on Wednesday night!
