Fav Phrase Friday - Tender Moments

Harrison has been insisting that daddy take him to bed and tuck him in each night for several months now.

A mom could begin to get a little sensitive over this; but as I tucked him in one night, I found out that I "read the stories wrong"! (Let alone assisting him with teeth brushing)

"Not like that Mommy!", he chimed over and over again as we got ready for bed.

Finally, I told him that Mommy and Daddy do things like reading differently, just like we sing different good-night songs. (Daddy sings a plethora of Beatles songs including Black Bird and Good Night from the White Album)

So with that being said, tonight the G.I.D. was working late and Harrison and I had a picnic dinner on the living room floor. As settle into eating out sandwiches, Harrison says:
"So. Mommy."

"Yes, Harrison?"

"I wanna tell you a secret."

"What's that?"

He whispers, "I love you, mommy."

"I love you, too."

"I. Love. You."
Then he points to his eye and says, "I"

Points to his heart, "Love."

Points to me, "You."

Daddy taught him that.
