After church we invited friends over for lunch. It was nice being spontaneous, to not worrying that our house was not in pristine condition - because it wasn't. They are new friends in our lives, an answer to prayer and a blessing.
When we told Harrison that R. was coming over for lunch, he immediately told us that he wanted him "to come over and eat mac & cheese at my little table. Yeah! That will be great! I'm 'cited!" Then there was lots of joyful kicking and clapping of hands.
After lunch the boys played for a couple hours while we adults were able to sit & relax, drink iced tea and talk. Harrison pulled out his play dough box -unfortunately it took up most of the "little table", although they didn't mind.
Once again, my best shot isn't necessarily the best quality, but it's the captured moment that makes it my best shot for Monday. This laughter always fills my heart with sunshine.
What has him so happy in this picture?
Why Elvis, of course!
This is what happens when you have entertainers in the family, they just happen to have an Elvis wig & glasses handy for quick impressions by 3-year-olds. What a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Thank you friends!!Elvis needs a comb!
Head over to Mother May I for more sunshine today!
