When Life Gives You Lemons

Make Lemonade!

On Saturday out church had an Easter egg hunt at the park and lemonade to drink for the kids. It was so successful that there weren't any cups left so I convinced Harrison to come home and make lemonade with me. He and the G.I.D. went outside and collected a bag full of lemons from our tree then he came in and helped me wash them.

Here is a collection of photos from our adventure.

Starte by cutting 5 to 6 lemons (yes, mommy helped with that big sharp knife.)

Squeeze lemon juice out of lemons

Stir in 1 cup sugar

Pour in 6 cups water

Stir until mommy says your are done. (sugar is dissolved)
Drink from favorite Woody cup

Then take a nap, get up and have a lemonade slushy!

Perfect!

Now head over to the Land of K.A. for more collections!

What a fun time!!! You guys do the best things together. My mouth is seriously watering for some lemondate now - especially some fresh-squeezed by Harrison!

And? Your photos just keep getting better and better.

I'm telling you - there is a serious love relationship here in the makings between Harrison and Addie. Making lemonade is one of her FAVORITE things to do. I think we do it at least twice a week around here. I hope our lemons hold out long enough to get a new crop in...or we are in trouble!

He is adorable, as always and very fun photos!

Wow! I'm impressed that you juiced by hand! We cheat, and use a juicer! LOL Isn't home made the best though? We made some a few weeks ago, and it disappeared pretty quickly! Love the collage, came out nicely.

The idea of going in the YARD to get lemons just amazes me! How special for the two of you to do such a memorable thing together...the photos, as always, are just precious! I love it when you have a series of them; it is like watching a new adventure unfold. The color and size of the lemons makes the photos just pop. By the way, I loved the eggs in the photos below! What neat ideas for some funky designs...You are just so creative. So glad you had a nice Easter.
